Letter From Sales

The Hideout is gearing up for a fantastic 2023 with plenty of preparations underway. This last season, we hosted the annual Property Owners Association meeting and discussed multiple projects in the works. We are excited to see them progress and share updates as we go.
Spec Home Program
We are always looking for ways to improve and provide a wide variety of options to grow our community, which is why back in 2021 the Spec Home Program was initiated. Starting from literally the ground up can be daunting, so we figured the best way to tackle this was to take the building out of the equation. We teamed up with our preferred builders—Hutchins Custom Homes—to design and build our first spec home. Before the home was completed, it was purchased by one of our current members. We received lots of positive feedback and decided to build another. Once again, before it was completed, our second spec home was sold. To keep up with demand, we started building two more spec homes, one of which is already under contract. We’re in the final stretch in completing our fourth spec home located on lot 1067 in the King’s Point Cove Unit 3 subdivision. Now is the chance to learn more and make it yours!
New! Reflection Ridge Subdivision
News spreads fast around here, so you may have heard that The Hideout recently acquired the neighboring Reflection Ridge subdivision. The attorneys and powers-that-be are currently going through all the paperwork, but soon that area will merge with The Hideout. Once we have more information, we’ll let everyone know. Meet the Sales Team
Speaking of the property, we would like to invite you, your family, and your friends to visit our development. Stop by the Sales Office to be greeted by our courteous staff, have a cup of coffee, eat some popcorn, and take a personalized tour of our available homesites. You’ll be guided by our professionals, Cathryn Davis and Jerry Sumners.
Cathryn is our Director of Sales and joined the team back in 2021; however, she’s been a landowner and part of The Hideout since 2019. She is a licensed Realtor® and recently acquired her Mortgage Loan Originator license. Her knowledge about the property is continuously evolving due to her eagerness to help others on their journey to find their home.
Jerry is our newest Sales Representative, having joined the Sales Office at the beginning of last year. He and his wife, Denise, bought into The Hideout back in 2016 and finished building their forever home here in 2019. When he’s not out enjoying The Hideout lifestyle, he’s busy applying his years of experience and knowledge of the property to help others find what they’re looking for.
Love It & Live It Package
Now that you know who’s going to be touring you, let’s talk about how to get here. For new clients, there is our Love It & Live It package. This all-in-one bundle is a means of showcasing what it’s like to live here. For the introduction price of $110 on weekdays (Sunday – Thursday) or $140 on weekends (Friday – Saturday) you’ll receive the following:
- One-night stay in one of our family cabins or a room in our Lodge
- $50 dinner voucher to The Hideout Grill
- Two free rounds of golf on our 18-hole championship golf course (with golf cart and range balls)
- Full access to all of our exclusive resort amenities

A Year of Trials

January
Last year held no punches as The Hideout underwent several unprecedented events. Back in January, our irrigation pumps went out after decades of service. Immediate action was taken, and new pumps were ordered. We were told it would be some time until it would arrive, so we leased a temporary pump that could only do so much. To compensate, our hardworking grounds crew took to watering the greens every day by hand to maintain the course. It was not until January of this year that the pumps finally arrived and were installed. You can find videos of the installation on our social channels.

March
In March, the completely unexpected happened and a wildfire struck our property. It grew rapidly due to a drought at the time and near record-setting wind speeds. Thankfully, it was stopped by the local fire departments. Nobody was hurt and no structures were touched by the fire—though it did scorch quite a bit of the land.
October
Later in the summer, another fire got caught in the development. Once again, the brave and dedicated fire departments quickly arrived on the scene to put it out. We are incredibly grateful for their service and being instrumental in keeping the fire from harming anyone or coming in contact with any structures. To show our appreciation, we hosted the first annual Puttin’ Out the Fire Fundraiser & 5K charity event in October. After all was said and done, over $20,000 was raised towards our local fire departments.
A Note from the Pro Shop

Our Pro Shop is filled with more than just smiling faces.
We also carry the latest golf equipment and apparel, hats, shoes, and even junior golf clubs and apparel/shoes right here in the Pro Shop. We have brands such as Puma, Callaway, Taylor Made, Mizuno, Monterey Club, Level Wear, Glove It, US Kids Golf, Titleist, Foot Joy, and others currently on hand. We also have range finders, golf GPS watches, golf towels, and more golf accessories available.
Golf Tournaments
Have you seen our tournament schedule for the year? If not, we can certainly email that to you, or view our online events calendar. We do host a full schedule of tournaments each year. We have one tournament per month from March through October. There are three couple’s tournaments a year. We have our Spring Couples event in April, Summer Couples event in July, and our ever so popular Fall Couples event during Halloween in October. Plus, many, many other fun golf tournaments.

Golf Membership
Being a member of a golf club comes with certain advantages. These include, but are not limited to, club perks, special pricing, and offerings, as well as other unique privileges. The Pro Shop is just one of those areas that can be unique to members. If there is a specific shoe, tee, glove, hat, club, or any other golf-related product that you typically purchase elsewhere, please let me know. Most often, I can obtain the product and offer pricing comparable or less than the big box stores. I can also special-order products specifically for you, from just about any major golf brand. I have many catalogs for you to browse through to find that exact item you are looking for. Sometimes, the custom orders cost less than the in-stock items. So, no matter your golf merchandise needs, our golf staff is here to assist in any way we can.
Meet Matthew Weeks, Resort Manager
You may or may not have noticed a new face walking around the Lodge. If he hasn’t already been introduced, I’d like to present our new Resort Manager, Matthew Weeks. Matthew started back in January, and has since been hard at work learning the ins and outs of The Hideout. If you see him around, don’t hesitate to say hello!
